We love our “Pearl”. The painting was done in 1940 by a famous Hungarian Hollywood artist named Geza Kende. He painted many Hollywood celebrities such as Gloria Swanson and Bella Lugosi (as well as most of the Cleveland, OH mayors of the time…go figure).

For the past 50 years the “Pearl” painting has hung in Jack’s Malibu beach house (one of the winery partner’s). Our winemaker, Ross Jay Rankin “discovered” the painting while visiting and transformed her into a wine label. Since all wine labels must be approved by the ATF/ttb (and they are generally very conservative) it did not seem likely that we would get a positive approval since “Pearl” is sans clothing… but as you can see our “Pearl” is very elegant and tasteful.. Well, we were finally granted approval, AND WE WANT TO CELEBRATE!

How you ask? We are on a search for a “Pearl” look-a-like. Throughout 2008 we are throwing various wine parties under the guise of finding our Picture Perfect “Pearl” (Trippple P Parties). We want to capture that specific moment in time during the 1940’s that “Pearl” was created. Our Trippple P Parties and events are held in various venues where the Imagine Wine label is sold.

We want all of our Imagine friends to attend, and we are especially looking for those ladies who are willing to get “in the mood”, dawn their best 1940’s finery and do their hair, make up, and dress in order to resemble our “Pearl”. Do you think you have what it takes to be our Picture Perfect Pearl? Well, it is easy to find out. Gather up all your friends (ages 21 and over) and have everyone dress in elegant 1940’s era clothing.* Submit your Search Entry to be a contestant (read all the fine print) and to attend the events. Get as many people as you can to vote for you on our website or at events by registering their email.  Attend as many Tripple P Events as you wish (one required)and join the other Imagine Wine groupies!

OK, now for the fun stuff. There will be GIFTS for participating at the events and you will get votes just for attending in your “Pearl” attire. If you are chosen as the Imagine Wine Picture Perfect “Pearl” for 2008, you and a friend will be awarded a one week trip to Maui, coach airfare included, to stay at the fabulous ocean front Sugar Beach condominiums (www.sugarbeachresort.net). And we will throw in $500.00 spending money. Please read the pesky Rules and Regulations.

Remember… this is a tasteful celebration of the Imagine Wines, the inimitable beauty of womanhood, the music of the 40’s, and a chance to be immortalized in the annuals of American winery history as the Imagine Wine Picture Perfect “Pearl”!
